Senior Oracle ERP Release Manager Position Responsibilities: The Senior Oracle ERP Release Manager role is to partner with Global ERP teams, functional business analysts, Database Administration Team and Quality Assurance Team in defining requirements for required Oracle ERP instances to support projects, implementations and production support. Work closely with Support Manager of Global ERP and other teams to plan activities and ensure that support guidelines are followed. Work with technical teams and Global ERP to understand, communicate project status, development and production support activities including critical issues that impact Global ERP team. This position is non-managerial; it is not responsible for conducting performance reviews of others. Essential Functions Strategy & Planning • Work with Production Support Manager to analyze current production support activities for all Global ERP environments, propose changes to improve consistency. • Proactively analyze Oracle application patches with Global ERP and DBA teams on regular bases to identify critical patches for our environments. • Work with Global ERP Managers and technical leads to analyze instance requirements for current projects, implementation and production support to provide visibility across all teams. • Work with Global ERP Managers, technical leads, local IT and local business to understand critical functionality for our environments and work with technical teams to actively monitor them. Acquisition & Deployment • Develop and maintain metrics that monitor Oracle critical functionality for our production instances. • Develop and maintain Global ERP Instance requirement to support projects, implementation and support across our environments. • Develop process to frequently review application patches and work with Global ERP teams and technical teams to identify what’s applicable to our environment. • Develop communication plan and method for important technical activities that are relevant to Global ERP and business. • Work with Production Support Manager to review and develop support processes to standardize the support across environments. Operational Management • Review and communicate projects status, implementation status, critical production support issues, regular production support activities with all technical teams. • Work with DBAs to coordinate patch implementation of all major application patches identified and approved by Global ERP Managers and business. • Work with Global ERP and DBA team to review current requirement for changes to be promoted to production and ensure that those requirements are satisfied prior to production migration. • Review current regression testing and work with Global ERP to ensure that all critical functionality is included in the regression process.
