Position Responsibilities: The Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. Essential Functions Strategy & Planning • Promote, foster and pro-actively implement the use of Quality Assurance best practices in direct support of increased profitability and financial growth of the Company on a daily basis. • Establish, document and promote team standards with regards to website and web application testing and support. • Deliver technical and operational training in the HP suite of testing tools to both technical and non-technical users. • Proactively mentor the QA Team in processes, best practices and testing tools. Acquisition & Deployment • Support the requests of customers for the creation of manual and automated testing. • Install and train on software testing tools to capitalize on quality assurance best practices. • Participate in the recruitment and selection of Professional Apprentice™ personnel. Operational Management • For assigned business unit(s), lead and guide the QA effort for website and web application projects and maintenance items; i.e., defining test scope, creating test plans and timelines, assigning QA resources, attending/coordinating project meetings and effectively reporting test results. • Support the projects, maintenance and production of websites web applications activities as it relates to QA, which includes, but is not limited to, coordinating support activities with the business and technical leads, creating test plans, writing both manual and automated test scripts, performing functional, usability, and regression testing, performance testing, defect tracking and reporting. • For assigned business unit(s), manage incoming requests for quality assurance services and as appropriate, delegate work to QA junior analysts, professional apprentices, or request services from other QA technical resources. • Oversee the administration of the QA Lab daily operational activities to support testing for various S-W projects; this includes but is not limited to the management of hardware, software, and resources within the lab environment. • Create efficient automated scripts that utilize Business Process Testing (BPT), clean code and best practices coding standards. • Administer and maintain IBM Rational Policy Tester by... http://bull.hn/l/ZCRP/2"
