As an Architect in the Engineering team, you are expected to exhibit technical and thought leadership. Experience with cloud platforms such as Windows Azure or Amazon AWS is required.   Responsibilities: Architect highly scalable, cloud-based software using Paas (Platform as a Service) and/or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) Active participation in development new cloud based software products on Windows Azure or Amazon AWS platform Migrate existing on-premise software offerings to the cloud Translate requirements and functional specifications into product architecture and design Review technical architecture, designs and code Responsible for non-functional aspects for the products such as performance, security, scalability Mentor and train software development teams as an expert on cloud technologies Recommend, promote and evolve tools and best practices for software development Responsible for Database modeling  and optimization Desired Skills and Experience: At least 10 years of experience, including architecture and implementation of secure, large scale, multi-tenanted SaaS applications Experience and expertise in Core Java, J2EE, server and open source technologies and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Hadoop and NoSQL/MongoDB Excellent programming and debugging skills Expertise in application and database performance monitoring and tuning Experience with middleware technologies and application integration frameworks Familiarity with client technologies such as JSP, Swing, GWT, and HTML5 Experience working in a fast paced, startup environment with short timelines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Passion for programming (coding and debugging) and learning new technologies Excellent problem solving skills with passion to solve complex technical problems and ability to come up with creative solutions Experience with all phases of product development life cycle Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or XP Please find below a brief write-up about the company.
