Job Description: Job Summary:The Application Support and Training Specialist reports to the Director of Client Services and is responsible for the companys information technology training and application support initiatives. This individual plans, organizes, directs and delivers a wide range of IT related training activities for Alexion. They are an expert in effective communication, motivation, leadership, and time management. As an expert in the field of IT training, they identify and assess training needs within Alexion by conferring with supervisors, department leaders, or through surveys. They evaluate training effectiveness to ensure that the training employees receive helps the organization meet its strategic business goals and achieve results.The Application Support and Training Specialist conducts New Hire orientation sessions and arranges for specialized, on-the-job training for new employees as it relates to the use of computerized systems. They help all employees maintain and improve their job skills, and possibly prepare for jobs requiring greater skill through targeted application training. They help supervisors prepare training plans for direct reports. They may set up individualized training plans to strengthen an employees existing application or technical skills or teach new ones.The Application Support and training specialist also manages the rollout and support for MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and integration to SharePoint. Their expertise enables them to answer complex questions and guide users.The Training Specialist will have experience working with Internet-based training, multimedia programs, distance learning, satellite training, or other computer-aided instructional technologies, videos, simulators, conferences, and workshops. Principal Responsibilities: Using online training management software (Preferably SAP LSO or SumTotal)Organizes training classes for diverse groups of employees at multiple geographic locations.Managing contract resourcesWorking in a Pharmaceutical or Medical Device environmentManage training initiatives for a Microsoft Windows or Office upgrade/rollout.Training MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookWorking and training all levels of employee users, including C level executivesSupporting applications such as MS office, Visio, Project, and SharePointQualification:5 to 8 years providing training for enterprise class applications such as SAP, Microsoft CRM, and SalesForce.com.Requires broad knowledge of online training systems, curriculum creation, and classroom settings.Preferred systems experience should include SAP, Microsoft CRM, and SalesForce.com.Must be an expert in the 2010 Microsoft Office suite which includes; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project.Must have direct training experience with the enti"
