"General Gear General gear has developed from a traditional gear supplier, to a complete manufacturer of components and assemblies, for gearing and non-gearing related applications. General Gear offers a full range of machining capabilities, producing complex components for all types of industries. POSITION TITLE: Program Manager-Oil and Gas Sales REPORTS TO: Sales Director This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector to increase sales and production in order to achieve sales revenue and customer satisfaction targets. This will be achieved through industry contacts and cold calls for new client acquisitions. This position is also responsible for completing the full sales function, including pre-sales activities, preparing quotations, presentations, contract negotiation, and working with the manufacturing team to execute all post-sales activities to insure on-time delivery to the customer and maintenance of profit margins. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES: · Identifying and establishing contact with potential customers. · Initiating contact with new customers to promote product sales and deliver a detailed account strategy. · Responding to sales inquiries. · Delivering presentations of the company products at customer sites, exhibitions, conferences and trade shows. · Meeting sales goals and targets and profit margins on programs. · Producing sales reports and providing information to management. · Ensuring effective internal communication within the Sales, manufacturing team and Customer Sales Support and organizing program reviews for management. · Identify opportunities for upcoming products and for development and enhancement of existing products. · Motivating all sales staff to share relevant data about the market in facilitating the ease of retrieval, recording, and use of information. · Negotiating the agreement terms and finalizing sales agreements. · Monitoring and reporting the potential collaborators and competitor activities and identifying business threats and opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: · Degree or equivalent in engineering or a sales and marketing related field. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: · Minimum of 5-7 years related sales work experience preferably in a custom precision machining environment within a manufacturing facility in the oil and gas sector. SKILLS & ABILITIES: · Effective presentation skills. · Self-motivated and flexible to work with minimal supervision. · Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. · Meet deadlines and with work under pressure. · Innovative and proactive. · Willing and able to travel frequently.
