Subject: Atlanta, GA - Oracle DBA Permanent Job Opportunity Irina Libkind posted a job: Atlanta, GA - Oracle DBA Permanent Job Opportunity "contact: irina@synergyhire.com Role: Oracle DBA Location: Alpharetta, GA The selected candidate will provide database support for multiple Oracle production and development databases, including Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g that house critical application data. On call hours are required and are on a rotation schedule. Key Duties Include: Standard database maintenance and support including applying application patches, Oracle patches, backup and recovery, performance tuning, batch application development (PL/SQL), data archiving, as well as working closely with other Operations and Engineering staff on strategic projects. Extensive experience with advanced PL/SQL is highly desired. Business and data analysis skills a plus. Attributes we seek in a candidate include: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training required. 2 to 3 years production database support experience required. Other requirements include: knowledge of Oracle database products (Versions 9i 10g and 11g), knowledge of data warehousing products and methodologies, experience constructing and maintaining Oracle databases, experience migrating Oracle databases, experience with Unix (Solaris) and Linux operating systems, experience with PL/SQL programming and advanced PL/SQL programming, experience in providing 24x7 support of production systems, and experience with change control processes. Must have strong oral and written communications skills, be a proven self-starter, have excellent problem-solving skills and be a team player. Flexible hours are required. Experience with Oracle 11G is a plus. Experience with other SQL databases, especially SQL Server or MySQL, is preferred. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) preferred. Position reports to Director Of IT & Billing - Operations Support."
