"The position has overall responsibility for leading the performance of a group of remote Field Service Representatives (FSR) who perform physical inspections, other audits, and provide the highest level of customer service for a U.S. and Canadian based program providing financial services to the dealer network of a major manufacturer. Responsibilities include actively managing a group of remote FSR’s and ensuring that the quality and completion of collateral validations are in accordance with TCF policies and procedures. Leading activity in all FSR operations within the respective territory including: development of new-hires and existing staff, resource balancing & allocation, overtime & expense management, personnel decisions (hire, promotion, discipline), development of best practices of process and procedure. Frequently consult with all levels in the company to achieve TCF’s goals & objectives. Completing, creating and/or refining existing reports of team metrics and ensuring compliance to policies, processes and procedures. Performing and reporting results of physical inventory inspections and other audits of consumer and other durable goods while at customer locations utilizing the appropriate tools, including a handheld device, ensuring that all policy and procedures are adhered to. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 10 years of financial services and/or banking experience, specifically in floor plan finance. Position incumbent must demonstrate expertise in exercising sound credit judgment and portfolio management skills including effective collections, the ability to assess work priorities and establish quality work procedures. Must also demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and to meet strict deadlines. Effective in problem solving, ability to resolve complex problems, and to make decisions to quickly resolve issues and minimize financial risk to the company is also required. Proficiency in both English and French language; comprehension, speaking, reading and writing, strong knowledge of compliance regulations, policies and procedures related to bank operations are a plus. The position will be based in either Toronto, Ontario or Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Job Requirements Education Required: • Four year college degree or equivalent with business and accounting background. Preferred: • MBA or other Master’s degree in business and/or finance preferred. Work Experience Required: • Minimum of 10 years financial services/banking experience with specific knowledge of inventory finance operations. • Demonstrates strong management abilities • Demonstrates expertise in exercising sound credit judgment and portfolio management skills including effective collections and senior management, assess work priorities and establish quality work procedures. • Demonstrates ability to work well under pressure and to meet strict deadlines. • Effective in problem solving, ability to resolve complex problems, and to make decisions to quickly resolve issues and minimize financial risk to the company. • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, policies and procedures related to bank operations. Preferred: • At least 5 years of previous work experience in the Inventory Finance business. Lawn and garden experience is a plus.
