The role will take ownership for solution design involving end to end Microsoft BI stack infrastructure and processes, so from the hardware through to the final report, including source code control and code propagation. The individual will also have responsibility for architecting and estimating end to end solutions within this framework. This will be ideal for an individual looking to move into a Solution Architect role from a Microsoft BI Stack Technical Lead or Principal Developer. Key responsibilities will include: Take ownership for solution design involving end to end Microsoft BI stack infrastructure and processes, so from the hardware through to the final report, including source code control and code propagation. Take ownership for the creation of project estimates and end to end solution (including operational delivery and support). Develop key relationships with clients to drive out requirements in a timely manner and to ensure that the technical scope of the solution can be defined. Work with clients to gather requirements, enabling the creation of solutions that will meet the agreed business objectives. Support the technical delivery of solutions by providing the necessary information about the client and their requirements. Manage the development of requirements and the design of solutions. For the role, we would be looking for you to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Knowledge of solution design involving end to end Microsoft BI stack infrastructure and processes, so from the hardware through to the final report, including source code control and code propagation. Design experience / knowledge of data warehousing, data integration and reporting solutions Experience in Dimensional Modelling Proficient in solution design techniques; Experience of participation in requirements gathering activities using workshops and interviews. Experience within a business and technical level. Strong knowledge of SSAS / SSIS / SSRS / SQL Server / Sharepoint is essential, and knowledge of Powerpivot will be an advantage Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication. Must produce high quality, well-structured documentation in MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Visio. Preferably educated to degree level.
