Our environment is fresh and exciting and they work across a number of industry sectors, so there’s plenty of variety. The apps have won a number of awards and are used by millions of users every day. You’ll love the colorful, dynamic Bristol office, the ‘grass’, picnic bench and whole stash of comfy bean bags. My client are a privately held establishment built in 2009, so they have a solid foundation but still have the start-up feel and have won many awards too, including the App Developer of the Year for 2012. They are a fully funded company, profitable and expanding. If you’re similarly energetic, consider yourself to be self-motivated and prepared to roll up your sleeves to be part of an exciting, flourishing business then this the company for you. ● Show your passion and develop state-of-the-art native Android apps for large businesses and brands used by millions across the UK. ● Evangelise Android internally at Mubaloo and externally to clients. ● Estimate engineering effort, prioritize projects, and plan implementations ● Participate in a culture of responsibility and support projects throughout all phases of the development life (e.g., design, code, test, release) ● Manage and mentor a team of skilled Android developers Skills & Requirements Essential: ● Deep knowledge of the Android ecosystem and successful track record in launching well-known Android apps ● A technical-minded gadget lover who knows the most recent Android features ● 2+ years Android development, with apps currently in Play Store ● 4+ years Professional software development experience ● Strong understanding of Internet and mobile technologies (e.g., iOS, JavaScript, HTML5, XML/JSON web services) ● Experience parsing RESTful or SOAP web services in JSON / XML ● An ability to get things done and supervise others ● An ability to architect an application from the ground up and facilitate the build through each stage of the project lifecycle. ● Intimately familiar with Version control systems such as SVN and Git ● An ability to produce clear, concise documentation from the conception of an app through to release. ● Provide accurate estimates on new projects. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills If this role is of interest, please send CV with examples/portfolios of Apps etc to Sonia.kumar@quantica.co.uk"
