Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Functional Architect and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements. Due to outdated software (classic ASP); changing business rules and business processes and opportunities to create system system efficiencies to save funds and FTEs; DODD is seeking 2 contract staff for a 6 month period to assist in rewriting the departments Medication Administration application. The approach will be to model the rewrite after existing code bases in use for provider certification. The Medication Administration application is used to certify workers to delegate the responsibility of passing Medications to indivudals served by DODD and county boards. There are over 42,000 indivduals currently certified to provide this service. Delegation is achieved by providing training through RNs and Nurses. DODD is currently seeking 2 developers for an assignment to work on the departments Medication Administration project. Work will be performed at the DODD location (Rhodes Office Tower 18th floor, 30 East Broad Street, Colunbus, Ohio). Work will begin on or about 1/21/13. DODD is a Microsoft centric shop utilizing VSTS 2010 evolving to 2012. The development language is VB .NET; DODD use an Agile SDLC; DODD utilizes formalized change control and PMCoE processes to manage projects and software migration. Developers should be well versed in .NET framework, 3.5+; along with AJAX/Jquery. Background:Candidates should be comfortable working with complex subject matter. The applicant must be familiar with MS Visual Studio and Team Suite 2010/2012 including n-tier application development. and web services. Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:1. experience focusing on full lifecycle application development.2. experience developing with VB.Net3. experience with .Net Framework to include 3.5 or higher4.
