Complete Description: As part of the OCFO Web Systems design team, the SOA Architect will be responsible for leading all aspects of service oriented architecture using Oracle Middleware in support of business modernization initiative for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. • Must have experience implementing Oracle SOA Suite. • Must have experience as a Technical Architect in an SOA environment. Responsible for the design of a detailed layout of the implementation. • Has in-depth expertise with these technologies Oracle, Oracle Fusion Middleware Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, Application Integration Protocols, Application Frameworks, Portal and Web 2.0 • Has in-depth expertise with many of these languages, services and tools: Java, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, WSDL, SOAP, UDDI, Jdeveloper, SOA Suite on Linux, BPEL, Integration Adapters, Oracle Fusion Middleware, JNDI, JDBC. • Has contributed to the creation of technology-related best practices and processes. • Has consulted on the technical design of high-impact, multi-technology complex applications, and mentored technology staff in the application of newer technologies. • Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and web services implementation • Experience with SOA principles (loose coupling, modularity, reusability, asynchronicity, high availability, scalability) • Thorough understanding of JMS queuing • Knowledge of SOA governance and security • Knowledge of Linux and/or other leading Unix operating systems preferred • Hands on experience in designing and developing Web Services • Experience with enterprise systems development and architectural design • Experience developing the BPEL process. • Experience implementing web services on ESB. Complete Description: The Office of Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is undertaking a project to convert the legacy Federal Police Pension and Payroll System (PAPS) to PeopleSoft HCM Payroll version 9.0. OCTO is seeking a PeopleSoft HCM Conversion Analyst/Developer consultant to serve on the Project Team. The consultant will be responsible for delivering at minimum, the following activities and deliverables: • Meet with Functional Lead, PAPS Legacy Technical Lead and relevant Subject Matter Experts to review information regarding current PAPS legacy system (source for data conversion) and business processes • Perform and document data analysis • Perform and document data mapping between PAPS legacy system and PeopleSoft HCM • Document Functional and Data Conversion Requirements including data sources, types of data • Identify and document the most efficient and cost effective approach to data conversion, the level of effort to perform the conversion and the resources to convert the data • Develop programs and tools to perform data extraction from PAPS legacy system and staging data for conversion • Perform data cleansing, data testing and data loading activities • Create test files and prepare test cases with expected results • Run batch test jobs and review test output and if necessary program corrections and re-test • Identify data errors,, error correction for inconsistencies, missing data, alignment of data conversion and bridging • Plan and execute data conversion • Identify data that falls out and document solution to resolve data fail out issues • Reconcile and balance converted data, with acceptable tolerances Required/Desired Skills Required /Desired Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating PeopleSoft HCM Required 10 Years 3 - Expert PeopleSoft HCM 9.0 or higher Required 4 Years 3 - Expert PeopleSoft HR Required 8 Years 3 - Expert PeopleSoft Payroll for North America Required 6 Years 2 - Proficient PeopleSoft Commitment Accounting for Public Sector Required 6 Years 2 - Proficient PeopleTools (CI, App. Engine, SQR, IB, People Code, App. Designer) Required 8 Years 3 - Expert PeopleSoft BI / XML Publisher Required 2 Years 3 - Expert Oracle Database including 11G, SQL, Linux (Oracle and RHL) Required 6 Years 3 - Expert If you are available and interested in this positions.
