Subject: Hardware Configuration Management Inglewood, CA David Cohen posted a job: Hardware Configuration Management Inglewood, CA "Hardware Configuration Management Inglewood, CA Permanent Job Summary Analyzes proposed changes of product designs to determine the overall effect on system documentation and coordinates the recording of modifications for management control. Communicates and coordinates changes with engineering, production, sales and quality departments. Uses the ERP system reproducing engineering and manufacturing documentation, such as drawings, bills of materials, parts lists, specifications and engineering change orders. Processes changes through the Change Control Process and monitors implementation plans related to the changes. Essential Functions • Analyze and make recommendations on Engineering Change Orders, Engineering Change Requests and Temporary Deviations related to hardware, firmware, software, quality system documentation, and product documentation. • Generate and monitor implementation plans for all applicable change activity. • Verify that proposed changes conform to configuration management standard practices. • Verify integrity/accuracy of data input into Epicor/ Vantage and that all documentation meets established quality standards. • Responsible for coordination and processing of Change Control Board (CCB). • Train personnel on current/revised CM standard policies and procedures. • Assist in audit activities of Configuration Management for external regulations or procedural guidelines such as ISO-9001 standards. • Participate proactively to propose solutions for process improvement. Qualifications Education Associates degree required, BS in Engineering or related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management in a manufacturing and engineering environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Working knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Outlook, Word and Excel • Computer literate with recent experience in the use of ERP and product data management programs such as Epicor/Vantage or Agile. • Good interpersonal, verbal and written skills. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
