Job Description: My client is seeking a Trading Spport/Connectivity Specialist for their Institutional Equities trading desk. You will be working on the trading floor handling any application support issues related to institutional trading. Responsibilities include coordinating client connectivity, support of hosted OMS (Fidessa)/ and REDIPlus, and managing users setup/access control for trading applications. The role will involve constant communication and coordination with Fidessa (we have a hosted implementation) on production issues, bug fixes, enhancements.Required Skills: At least 3- 4 years experience supporting Order Management and Execution Management systems while working on a Trading Floor. Basic understanding of FIX networks and electronic order flow on both client and exchange side. Good understanding of typical equity business, front and middle office flows and processes. Excellent communications skills - both verbal and written. Highly motivated and able to work in a challenging Trading Floor environment. Candidate must be a self-starter with keen attention to detail and follow up. Good analytical skills. Ability to manage competing priorities. Willingness to take ownership of issues affecting FIX clients and follow through to a resolution.
