Primary Location: Jefferson City, Missouri Job Duration: 12 Months Job Description: The SME will be responsible for providing essential guidance with the ICD-10 Implementation. The SME will work directly with the ICD-10 project team to identify, track and develop the policy changes. This person will ensure all of the requirements for the conversion from ICD-9 to ICD- 10 have been implemented. Responsibilities •Research, analyze, and produce relevant materials to support the regulations related to ICD-10 objectives. Act as a liaison between State agency staff and contracted vendors to discuss, determine, and ensure the regulations are being adhered to. Convene and attend meetings with State agency and contracted vendor. Develop and maintain a working relationship with various State agency departments to ensure accuracy of information and consistency of policies. Expertise working with users to gather, document, and track business requirements. Expertise serving as an interface between the developers and users to translate business requirements into technical specifications.   Requirements A successful track record as a Subject Matter Expert Clinician with ICD-10 expertise 5+ years of relevant experience in working with in the medical services area. Certified Registered Health Information Technician or Administrator (RHIT or RHIA) preferred. Excellent analytic, leadership, and writing. Experience in a Medicaid environment. Experience in Medicaid policy. Ability to work with cross-functional teams. Strong business analysis and requirements gathering experience including; leading JAD sessions and SME interviews, use case and technical specification development, wireframe, storyboarding and test script creation. Results‐oriented, dynamic and self‐motivated person. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills   Preferred Qualifications • Government experience a plus Experience implementing Medicaid enhancement projects Registered Health Information Technician/Administrator (RHIT or RHIA)certified http://bull.hn/l/VNID/"
