Web application development using JAVA and opensource technologies PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility is to develop highly scalable SaaS based JAVA applications for the Linux platform, applying sound object oriented principles and design patterns. Follow best practices of the industry for delivering high-quality software in a timely manner and to the specification. Provide customer service as needed, responding to requests by clients both internal and external Track work flow, ensure that assigned tasks are on target for completion time lines Participate in design and code reviews Participate in product testing and tuning for performance REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Ideal candidate will have hands on 4-6 years experience in the following: Web application development using JAVA and opensource technologies, tools and APIs: Spring/Hibernate, Struts, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, SQL, XML, ANT, Tomcat, HTML, JavaScript. These are the minimum requirements; additional web technologies experience is always a plus. Web Services development experience and knowledge of Linux/UNIX, PostgreSQL is a huge plus.
