SAN R&D team seeks SAN Engineer to lead various storage initiatives and build solutions that will redefine the storage arena. The environment will prove to challenge the top SAN Engineers as this is a next generation infrastructure that supports some of the most sophisticated systems in their respective space. As a SAN Engineer, you will leverage an environment that consists of a large number of servers running Solaris, AIX, RedHat Linux, Windows and an equally large SAN and NAS environment consisting of predominantly, EMC, HP, Netapp, Brocade and Cisco as well software based storage solutions, DAS, object storage, cloud storage and flash arrays. Ideal candidates will have experience with the following: • Extensive experience with large SAN infrastructures • Low latency storage skills, including SSD, Flash and DRAM based storage arrays • Solid understanding of AIX, Solaris and Linux (Windows a plus) • Experience designing and managing large-scale, complex SAN and NAS storage arrays • Working knowledge of EMC PowerPath • Ability to write and optimize scripts in Perl • Excellent problem solving abilities This is a long-term (12 months+) contract opportunity. Requirements: • Qualified candidates must have 6+ years of experience with large SAN infrastructure. EMC, HP, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches and Netapp (NFS) experience a plus • Experience with commodity hardware running software based storage solutions • Working knowledge of low latency storage, including SSD, Flash and DRAM based storage arrays • Excellent technical skills experience with designing and managing large-scale and complex SAN/NAS storage arrays required, along with strong communication skills • Must be capable of writing technical documentation, making presentations to an internal audience, interacting positively with upper management and outside vendors • Experience working with EMC PowerPath and native multipathing software on AIX, Solaris and Linux. • A solid understanding of AIX, Solaris and Linux (knowledge of Windows a plus) • Ability to write and optimize scripts in Perl • Knowledge of other programming language (C, C++, Javascript, Python, sed, awk) a plus • Capable of independent problem solving, self-motivated and self-directed"
