Group: IT Recruiters Subject: VSAM Specialist required at PA, Year long project - Rate Open Bhanu D N posted a job: VSAM Specialist required at PA, Year long project - Rate Open "Responsibilities: • Ability to set up a new VSE environment o CICS creation o Migration of VSAM data sets o Security concerns o VIASERV gateway o MQ • Experience with MQ setup and administration. • Review current jobs altering JCL where necessary to provide better informational return codes or console messages. • Review current VSAM definitions and suggest implement changes • Monitor CICS in all VSE’s for performance issues • Understanding of REXX macro programming o Review and document current REXX/EXEC utilities. o Identify changes to code to bring up to date with current versions of REXX In-depth knowledge of JCL In-depth knowledge of RDO, IDCAMS functions and utility’s o Analysis of current LSR pools with aim of rebalancing based on usage and I/O o Removal of unused datasets o Dataset reorganization Provide ability to be on call during serious outages"
