Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Contract Position: LA1045 - IT Network Engineer Victoria Hsu posted a job: Contract Position: LA1045 - IT Network Engineer "Work Location: Belle Chasse, Louisiana US local hires Job Duties: • Determine which addresses and port numbers are needed between a trusted security zone to the DMZ and create an ACL. • Configure a production firewall with the proper ACLs between the different security zones • Configure the failover on the Firewall to include the interfaces needed for monitoring • Configure network switches in the field to support Emerson Wireless installation • Apply Company standards and controls on the firewall and switches • Configure the Firewall and Switches are sending logs and SNMP traps to Solarwinds • Configure the SNMP for monitoring by a configuration manager (Voyence) 1) Performs Network project design and integration 2) Participates in Network consulting engagements, extensive IP subnetting 3) Troubleshoots and resolves routing, switching and circuit problems. Capacity planning and network optimization 4) Must be able to quickly understand architecture, identify cross-functional network impacts, and deliver superb documentation 5) Experience using protocols such as IP, BGP, OSPF and EIGRP, CCNA is required, 6) Must have demonstrated experience in the following areas: Comprehensive WAN design, installation and troubleshooting experience 7) Strong working knowledge of networking protocols specifically: TCP/IP, UDP, BOOTP, DHC 8) Strong working knowledge of data communications circuits and hardware 9) Strong working knowledge of carrier services and provisioning processes 10) Strong analytical skills/background. Ability to define and resolve complex network related problems in a timely manner. Solid technical, project management, analytical, and communication skills. REQUIRED: UDB, Windows NT, OSPF, TCP/IP, Cisco Highly Desirable: (1) Extensive hands-on experience with large-scale networks as well as experience with Cisco routers, switches and hubs (2) Working knowledge of Microsoft NT server and workstation TTY Systems, Inc.
