Job Description: Years of Experience: 3+ Years Location Gurgaon Main Skills: - Unix and Shell Scripting - DB Knowledge Capture of environment bookings and requests and prioritisation of how and when the environments will be delivered including facing off to other teams e.g where new machines, DBs required etc; Daily management of the day to day environment map to ensure demand and supply of test environments can be met and managed accordingly and where environment allocations can be checked by simple reporting by anyone who has an interest in what testing is currently taking place and where; Daily management of the availability and stability of the in use environments for QA and UA; Daily execution of environment sanity checks and with regular reporting to all interested parties; Issue Management on environment usage QA and UA, including providing a Level 1 support service to the users of these environments (i.e. anything that is not specifically application software related); Identify issues with the availability and stability of environments and work with the Infrastructure and Dev teams to resolve; Track issues for each test phase and initiate process improvements to avoid and/or remove these issues next time around; Develop tools and utilities to automate the build and manage deployments to the test environments; Work with the relevant teams to ensure that there are sufficient and appropriate environments to accommodate, F2B testing, Pre Prod, Performance, UA for all applications; Maintain Test Suites - i.e. build stacks that provide the various combinations of F2B testing that needs to be performed and as far as possible keep the Test Suites static for system to configuration to ensure stability; Initiate and contribute to process improvements in all areas of the SDLC for all applications and processes; Ensuring Key Stakeholder reporting e.g. Application/Project Management and Production Services Management is in place for Environment Management. Essential Skills: (Must have skills) Experience of working with a Service Team ideally environments & release function; Experience of working across complex integrated application architectures, dispersed teams at separate locations; Solid understanding of Unix, SQL, Web Services, Messaging & .NET applications; Experience of providing support to the above technologies; Experience of configuration management tools (SVN, CVS, Perforce, Clear Case etc.) with regard to branching, merging parallel development and code deployment; Core understanding of the key role environments play during testing as an enabler to delivering a Quality Solution;"
