Role : CGN-Support Engineer Location : Atlanta, GA (Only Green Card & USC). Duration : Long Term Contract. JOB DESCRIPTION: Intermediate knowledge in IP routing architectures is desirable. These would include but are not limited to BGP, OSPF, ISIS, static routing, VRRP, HSRP. Intermediate knowledge in Ethernet based technologies and layer 2 switching. Advanced knowledge in OSI layer 4. Specifics including understanding the purpose of TCP and UDP based IP communications. Communicating the similarities and differences between UDP and TCP applications. Advanced knowledge in well known internet UDP and TCP based applications. Solid understanding of NAT44 design, implementation and support principles. Solid understanding NAT444, NAT46/NAT64 principles. Solid understanding of IPv6 Desired skills include understanding of load balancer technologies, Juniper JunOS, Cisco IOS & XR, A10 software deployment and support. Experience in general computing functions and IC properties (i.e. Ternary CAM, DRAM, SRAM, NVRAM, CPU multi-threading, interrupts, CPU efficiency) Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. Experienced at writing technical proposals and documentation Experience in Unix based operating systems, shell environments, and applications related to service provider networking. Ability to support and analyze networking tools such as those available on CAIDA. (i.e. Netflow export and analysis, net mgmt, syslog, etc.) Job functions will include: • Potential lead for Carrier Grade NAT deployments across various Clients’ markets • Create detailed support documentation for CGN architecture to be used by various Client Operations teams • Serves as primary operational subject matter expert in the area of CGN, IPv4/v6 translation methods, IPv6 support • Lead problem resolution for CGN based issues across the Client IP Backbone Education and Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or telecommunications field and Generally 5-8 yrs experience in a telecommunications or networking field. • Masters Degree in telecommunications or network field with 3-5 yrs experience in a telecommunications or networking field. • Telecommunications Industry certifications a plus If you are available and interested in this positions.
