"Optical Technical Support Engineers - UK An experienced Optical Technical Support Engineer is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company based in the UK, on a permanent basis The Optical Technical Support Engineers will join a fast growing and international team, being responsible for Product/Solutions and the After-sales Technical Support in the field of Optical Networking. They will support our customers in all technical aspects and improve the relationship to our main Service Provider accounts. Tasks and responsibilities of this role include: Project implementation and technical supervision of the subcontractors or service partners Level 1 / Level 2 technical support service to the customers independently or jointly with a technical support team Provide training for customers, subcontractors or service partners Pre-sales support for testing, bidding or holding workshops The ideal candidates will have: Working experience of rollout/post-sales services in Optical Network Working experience of using Network Monitoring System & Sybase Database on SUN Solaris system Ability to implement and supervise installation, commission and testing independently (including survey and acceptance) Strong troubleshooting skills, FLM / SLM Ability to relate and work with different cultures Minimum of Engineer bachelor degree in telecommunications, computer science or electronics.
