Group: IT Recruiters Subject: IN VAS Support Engineer - UK Rachael Manning posted a job: IN VAS Support Engineer - UK "IN VAS Support Engineer - UK (Value Added Services, Alcatel Lucent IN platforms, NSN NDS platforms, UNIX, SS7, GSM, UMTS, Perm, UK) An experienced IN VAS Support Engineer is needed for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company based in the UK (Reading), on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: • Support and maintain market leading Value Added Services platforms to ensure very high levels of service delivery and availability. • Integrate new products and services on this solution and ensure high quality end to end services are delivered to customers • Continue to expand the capacity of the system to keep up with rapid growth • Work closely with the VAS vendors to ensure fixes and releases are delivered in a low impact manner. • Report regularly on system and service performance against key quality and availability targets • Collaborate closely with the Engineering, Operations and Product Marketing teams to deliver change in a coordinated way, aligned with business objectives. Key Requirements: • Experience of supporting Value Added Services platforms in an Operational environment (essential) • Experience of supporting and maintaining Alcatel Lucent IN platforms (essential) • Familiarisation with NSN NDS platforms and Tibco/Kabira platforms (desirable) • Unix system administration skills (desirable) • Familiarisation with SS7 and GSM or UMTS networks (desirable) • Appreciation of the importance of change management in an Operational Environment(essential) • HNC/HND/BSc/B Eng or Equivalent (Desirable) If you are eligible to work in the UK, interested, available and have the appropriate skills and experiences for the above position, please forward your updated resume in a word document to Jason sales@manningglobal.com with the following reference LIJV/VAS - 4267 or call +385 1 638 7404 for further information."
