The first line support & application developer's responsibility is to maintain the performance of the hardware and software systems and its users through high levels of availability, stability and security to support the business activities. He/she offers the guaranty to the external and internal interlocutors to resolve hardware and software issues in an optimal method. Support - Acquire user distress calls, provide 1st line IT helpdesk support, troubleshoot and resolve issues as reported by users, interact in a courteous and professional manner. - Manage and set priorities for the timely resolution of all PC, printer and user relates issues. - Assist in resolution of all infrastructure system issues, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, Server, Wireless, Etc... - Train users on supported hardware, software and office automation solutions. Administration - Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and associated IT Documentation. - Perform System administration as directed. (Exchange, AD, Etc..). - Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the IT Manager. - Ensure backup system is functional and in accordance with backup policy. - Assist in research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts. - Monitor and maintain acceptable system performance. Investigate bottlenecks and optimization solutions. Maintain system security policies. Development - Analyze and development, testing and documentation of new applications for the production & administration department. - Maintain existing application and develop adaptation to the business requirement. - Maintain an architectural consistency of the applications. Required skills & competencies : - Bachelor in Computer Science or related field. - 2+ Years experience in IT Help Desk or System Support. - Good knowledge of French and English. - Experience in installation, troubleshooting, maintenance of PC /Network/Printer/Peripherals/Smartphones/Servers... hardware and software. - Knowledge of MS Desktop Operating Systems (Windows XP/Vista/7) and MS Office Software (Office 2003/2007/2010, Visio, and Project). - Experience especially with Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows 2003 or higher), Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange server, Terminal Server and VMware is expected. - Affinity or competency in analysis & development (ex: Windev, Visual studio, … ). - Knowledge in SAP is a plus. - Expertise/Knowledge in barcode scanners, ticketing tools, Linux are a plus. Personal attributes - Demonstrated organization and project management skills. - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Punctual and timely reporting to his superiors as per requested. - Ability to work independently - Strong customer service orientation. - Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. - Able to conduct research into issues and products as required. - Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. - Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language. - Highly self-motivated and directed. - Experience working in a team-oriented.
