Job Description: More information about this job: Overview: Contributes to the overall Information Security program through the implementation, maintenance, and review of effective controls and solutions, with the overall goal of protecting information assets. Responsibilities: Recommend network architecture policies and standards in alignment with enterprise policies, regulatory / contractual requirements, and security best practice Review network architecture diagrams and implementations in order to identify and document potential security concerns and their recommended solutions Conduct enterprise-wide security assessments and penetration tests, both manually and with the assistance of available tools, in order to ensure applications, systems, and networks are effectively protected against known attacks Analyze new devices and monitor existing systems to ensure alignment with system configuration standards, document and communicate identified exceptions; includes following up on exceptions to ensure remediation Ensure configuration and monitor device event logs, and define, review and respond to device related security alerts Deploy, configure, and maintain complex security solutions, including but not limited to intrusion detection systems and network access control Recommend secure communication and storage encryption methods, working with the teams technical writer to ensure appropriate documentation, and communicate these standards to technical support and business teams Support the deployment of secure encryption methods, and ensure compliance with the associated documented policies and standards; exceptions are researched, and resolution coordinated with the responsible team(s) Ensure that systems and network architecture has been patched and maintained in alignment with documented standards, reporting exceptions to management, and working with associated team(s) to address as required; support overall patch management process Evaluate hardware and software solutions and identify tools that should be implemented by the organization Contribute to vulnerability and risk assessments and associated reports, communicate findings to management, identify and assist with the implementation of appropriate mitigating controls Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in Information Security, including current attack techniques, software and hardware solutions, and overall vulnerability and risk assessment and mitigation techniques and solutions Evaluate hardware and software solutions in order to identify tools that should be implemented by the organization Provide process and technical teams with overall direction and guidance in relation to technical security standards, controls, and best practices Assist with the deployment, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of complex security s" | ||||||
