"NOC IP 1st level Support Engineer - UK NOC IP Support Engineers are needed for our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company in the UK for a long term contract. Shift work will be involved. There could a possibility to perform this work remotely on some sites. Description: • Supporting NOC in a carrier grade network 24x7 from remote, covering three Live-sites in Singapore, Miami and Amsterdam. • Monitoring all network elements (Diameter Edge Agent, firewall, Cisco routers, NAP) • Performing network surveillance and in case of problems, start initial troubleshooting and case handling as per agreed processes according to a service-level-agreement with the end-customer. • Operating the network, which includes – but is not limited to – network/configuration changes, maintain documents, regularly perform backups, provisioning, liaise with 3rd-party-suppliers, generate reports and have regular contact with customer’s ops-team. Skills: • At least 3 years of experience in working on shifts in a NOC and in depth operations & maintenance skills in a carrier grade environment • Familiar with RMM Web GUI (to control DSC sites) • Linux (Red Hat) user’s skills, knowledge of the most common commands for monitoring logs, processes, application, network interfaces, system resources, cluster concepts, Linux networking architecture and options • Knowledge of TCP/SCTP protocols • Experienced on common IP-tracing tools (tcpdump and/or wireshark) on Linux • Virtual environment (VMware) • Ideally familiar with SS7Radius, LDAP, • Ideally familiar with F5 and Cisco Routers, Diameter protocol or alternatively very experienced in IP/data/routing environment • Familiar with SSH CLI for logs/process/configuration • Reporting capabilities of system/node/service level and other KPIs • Working autonomously and act responsibly • Solid English language skills (oral and in writing) mandatory • Good communication- and reporting skills • Good team-player, flexible and focused even during challenging situations If you are suitable and interested in this role, please send your updated CV in English and Word format with reference LIAP/NOCIP-4650 to Anita Prasad at sales(at)manningglobal.com, or call +49 (0)89 2388 9840 for more information."
