"I am currently in need of an Account Executive, Bay Area for a client of mine who has created and disseminated knowledge about management and the marketplace to help businesses strengthen their performance and better serve society. This is an opportunity for someone who has sold consulting services and/or intellectual content to various industries. Acceptable industries include most business to business experiences to include manufacturing, financial, technology, etc. I need someone who has sold to Presidents and/or CEO's and other C-Level managers. Position: Account Executive (Consulting/Advisory Services) Location: San Francisco / San Jose Territory: Bay Area Reports to: VP of Sales Compensation: $120K plus potential first year (75K-80K Base with Commission to 50K) I gladly provide a referral fee for any referral that leads to a hire! My client is looking for someone who has earned 100K in a customer facing role; a hunter role. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced sales professional; an individual contributor and “hunter” charged with selling advisory memberships to the Global 900. Client would like energetic, proactive communicator type to represent them in the Bay area. Some of the key attributes of this individual are as follows: - Responsible for interfacing with Fortune 1000 corporate execs with the objective of acquiring new members. - Need is for well-educated self-managed sales person with a minimum 10-12 yrs experience with strong track record of consultative selling to business executives. - Ideal candidates will have an outstanding record in consultative sales, and closing business in an account management environment. - Specific sector experience, knowledge and contacts would be a bonus - Experience working directly with C-level executives mandatory. - Superior verbal and written communication skills - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a desire to help customers - Outward-facing customer experience, preferably Business to Business - Comfortable talking to senior Execs and in a Boardroom environment - Approx 50% Travel - Commercial in outlook and approach - Up to date with business events, good range of contacts - As this is a niche position/industry it will be important to have had a background working for Gallup, Dow Jones, Gartner, CEB, Dunn Bradstreet, Associated Press, etc. - MBA is beneficial, not necessary. You'll be the hunter setting up accounts to occasionally manage or hand off to a dedicated Account Manager. Goal is to open 3-6 the first year.
