"The successful candidate should have experience with/will be involved in the following areas: 1) High performance computing; i.e., real-time data processing with focus on understanding fundamental data structures and algorithms (e.g., stacks, queues, heaps, lists, trees, etc), their performance ramifications, and usage in data manipulation and processing scenarios. 2) Unix application development and debugging; including usage of command line programs for Unix debug and troubleshooting of applications; performance profiling and tuning. 3) C++ Distributed systems concepts and programming; client/server systems design and code; sockets IPC; database transaction processing including isolation levels, locking, and data modeling. 4) Multi-threaded application server design, code and debug. 5) Idiomatic C++ and design patterns including STL and meta-programming. 6) High speed data processing and message/record programming tactics"
