Revenues exceed $2 billion with over 5000 employees worldwide. The Kilkeel site is the largest commercial aircraft seating plant in the world with circa $400M annual revenue supported by a $170M material spend from a truly Global supply chain. The company is now seeking to recruit a new Director of Supply Chain and Logistics for the Kilkeel facility. With a headcount in excess of 120 employees, this member of the senior management team leads a department which is pivotal to the success of the organisation. The Supply Chain and Logistics Director will be tasked to find new opportunities to create breakthrough value improvement for the business through Supply Chain initiatives, product improvement, sustainable cost reduction plans, a “zero defects” philosophy and team mentoring and development whilst ensuring the operational assembly facility is seamlessly supplied with parts to the point of use. Within this role you will also be responsible for the 100% on time shipping of finished product to the customer and maintaining our world class Gold and SQIP status with Boeing and Airbus respectively. Reporting to the Vice President & Managing Director at the site, this individual will be a dynamic, commercially aware and results driven manager, someone capable of making business-critical decisions to maximize the output of the business and increase savings. B/E Aerospace is seeking to recruit a candidate with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, someone who can communicate and build relationships with all internal and external customers because ultimately, the successful candidate will have full responsibility for the commercial nature of all relationships with B/E Kilkeel suppliers. You will have more than 5 years’ managerial experience in a similar role in a large, growing and dynamic Lean manufacturing or supply chain organisation. Your rounded practical experience will be complemented by an academic degree in a relevant discipline.
