"Designation Linux Administrator L2 level Location Hyderabad Qualification - B.E,B.Tech,BSc(computers/electronics) Experience - 3-6yrs of experience Desired Profile Job Description We are looking for an Linux L2 Support engineer for our Datacenter based out of Hyderabad, with strong administration skills on Linux platform • Should have good communication skills and excellent customer interfacing skills • Should have a minimum of 3 yrs of experience in Linux server administration preferably Red hat certified. • Should have good analytical/problem solving skills • Should be good at time management & should have the ability & desire to learn new skills. • Should have lead a team of L1 and L0 for a given set of servers Role Experience in working in a Datacenter environment for 3+ years or setups of 50 servers or more • Responsible for Linux Platform and applications • Responsible for managing multiple RHEL/ SUSE Servers /Centos/Fedora/Ubuntu/Solaris/FreeBsd • Installation & configuring of test & production servers including clusters • Sound knowledge of RedHat Cluster • Experience in GFS filesystem • Solid understanding of shared storage using GFS • In depth knowledge of kernel patching and compilation • Expertise in system hardening • Experience in forensic procedure on compromised systems • In depth experience in filesystem internals • Experience in building kickstart setup for automated installation • Exposure to software load balancers like HAProxy • Expert in IPtables firewall • Experience in configuring Spamassissin and qscan • Strong in system fine tuning and optimization • Strong in ISCSI & NFS • • Monitoring services through the use of monitoring tools for vital system statistics • Should have experience in installing and configuring Nagios/Zabbix/OpenNms • Should have solid experience in installing, configuring and managing Puppet/Cfengine/Chef • Experience in collaborative troubleshooting by terminal session sharing • Experience in reverse ssh tunnel • Adequate Knowledge of Patching and resolving the security based problems. • Practical experience on Client Backup tools like TSM, VERITAS, Arc server etc., • Knowledge of Citrix, Xen, VM ware and remote server support is an added advantage. • Trouble shooting server based problems with root cause analysis. • Problem solving Capability in IBM,HP and Dell Hardware. • Experience in handling customer base environment of more than 50 servers will be essential. • Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Server based Commands • General Knowledge of Storage, Networking and backup devices • Experience on the following layered products: o BIND with views setup o PHP o Tomcat with IIS and Apache integration o TCP/IP o Apache & FTP o vsftp • Strong concepts of TCP / IP • In depth Knowledge & Experience of managing complex tasks like : o File / Directory Permissions o Selinux o Logical Volume Manager o OS & layered product Installation o Patch Management Planning & Installation o Should have experience in building YUM servers o Managing backup in products like EMC/ Symantec Networker storage management. • Experience in creating Pyhton/ Perl Scripts & shell for Automating the manual tasks • Exposure to troubleshooting and config management of min 4 of the following technologies: 1. MySQL with Master/Slave setup 2. PostgreSQL 3. JBOSS 4. Qmail/ Sendmail/ Postfix /ClamAV 5. Xen/ Vmware 6. Control Panel Plesk/ Cpanel/ Dotnet Panel 7. CVS 8.
