Job Duties and Responsibilities: • interpret business requirements and develop technical specifications to meet the application requirements • participate in software development discussions for JEE based software development activities • create java code, beans, jsps, SQL and related code to implement the technical specifications • analyze and apply system changes to existing systems as/when required for compliance • ensure technical specifications meet client policies and industry directions for technology • design reusable component libraries and templates • provide advice on object oriented design and programming techniques • creating and testing scripts to make functional LiveCycle forms Technical Skills: • Minimum of 3-5 years Java experience • Experience with JEE Concept/Framework • Oracle/Sybase SQL experience • Javascript/JQuery experience • Source control Management (SVN) Nice to have: • Java Swing framework experience • Visual Basic background Required Level of Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience Soft Skills: • Strong written and oral communication skills • Critical eye for detail • Positive attitude • Able to multitask effectively • Have excellent time management, task planning and prioritization skills • Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision • Enjoy working in a self-teaching, learning organization • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members At CGI, we’re a team of builders.
