Description:   Guident is looking for a senior software developer / task lead to support the operations and maintenance of the financial management systems of one of our customers. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience developing software solutions leveraging contemporary technologies and languages such Java and Oracle PL/SQL. The successful candidate will be well versed in full life cycle development methodologies of both the waterfall and agile varieties. Formal and recent experience with Agile is a plus. The responsibilities include leading a team of 8 Java, PL/SQL developers and business analysts to provide technical and system operations support to the users of the financial management system. The tasks include release scoping, staffing, issue management, risk mitigation, status reporting, project planning, quality assurance, and representing the team in front of the customer as well as for internal Guident interactions. The financial management systems are a critical element of the customer’s administrative systems. The systems are built on a client server platform using primarily Oracle and Java frameworks. The systems are highly integrated with other internal and external systems and networks. Providing operations and maintenance support in this environment will require effective communication at multiple levels with the customer specifically with the personnel in the office of the chief financial officer (OCFO) and the chief information officer (OCIO). Must Have Skills / Experience Over 10 years of experience in software development with an emphasis on building and supporting end-to-end enterprise solutions Minimum of 6 years of experience developing software using Java, HTML, JSP, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus in client server and service oriented architecture (SOA) environments Over 3 years of project management, task management and team leadership experience including managing teams of 5+ resources Experience with all phases of an SDLC and delivery of work products and deliverables on at least 2 full life cycle projects Experience  with providing operations and maintenance support for mission critical or administrative systems in the federal sector Excellent verbal and written communications skills Education BS degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a related field Certifications PMI PMP is highly desirable EOE M/F/D/V http://bull.hn/l/X8LU/5"
