The role of a Technical Services Engineer based in Singapore is to support customers and products deployed as physical or virtual appliance on-premise or off-premise in a public cloud. You would be part of the technical support team and be involved in investigating and resolving incoming questions (phone and e-mail) and issues in a timely and effective manner. You will be on-call as scheduled to support customers in Asia and Australia and would also be expected to work with the US based support team to assist our European and Middle Eastern customers. You will interface with Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to ensure customers technical and functional needs are addressed quickly and appropriately. You would assist in the remote monitoring and maintenance of all services. You are expected to graduate to providing intensive post-sales technical consulting to internal sales staff and clients and prospects, participate in conference calls and occasional site visits with sales, documenting customer questions to ensure follow-up on all outstanding issues. In order to qualify, you will be a diploma / degree holder in Computer Science with 2 to 3 years of working experience in a Windows desktop and server environments, networking, security, virtual platforms, mobile devices, web applications environment. Experience resolving complex product issues, security software products preferred. Candidates with hands-on knowledge on file transfer technology, LAMP, Single Sign-on, SSH, Cookie, SSL, CMS is preferred. Trainings will be provided.
