Job Description & Position Responsibilities: • This position will be focused on handling HR related paperwork, for all new hires including consultants and employees. • Ensure compliance with HR policies and practices as well as local and federal laws. • Enter Background Check information as needed and coordinate with BRC Vendors to gather approvals as soon as possible. • Conduct the pre-hiring and on-boarding process for all new hires • Prepare and process the appropriate forms for each HR action being initiated • Prepare monthly and periodical reports such as termination, new hire, IPEDS, etc • Work closely with the employee/candidate and HR department and outside counsel as necessary for each case. • Researches HR-related legal issues and provides recommendations • Participates in employee relations matters and assists in conducting investigations. • Performs tasks supporting compensation and other human resource related data analysis. • Determine employee eligibility, coverage, effective date and premium payment responsibility for enrolled employees • Enter new member information and status change information using online methods and/or other vendor determined methods • Review benefits enrollment periodically to confirm accuracy • Must display exceptional customer service skills as you will be working with outside candidates and vendors throughout the day. Experience Required: • 2 years HR Generalist experience • Experienced in processing background checks. • 1+ years of experience in applicable HR laws/guidelines • 2+ years of customer service experience • Strong attention to detail, communication, relationship building and coaching/training others • Staffing Industry experience highly desired Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Communications or a related field"
