Job Description: Web Designer (UI / UX) We have an exciting opening for an Web Designer (UI / UX) with a leading Telecommunication Company. Position Title : Web Designer (UI / UX) Location of work : London, UK Position Type : Permanent Business Unit : Online Responsibilities for a Web Designer (UI / UX) End to End design responsibility in the web development life cycle, Customer requirements gathering, requirements analysis, low-high fidelity prototyping, wire framing, high level graphic designs, customer experience analysis, design decisions with expert use of analytics, Testing including A/B using optimisation tools, support content/copy writing online, Information architecture and usability Key Responsibilities for a Web Designer (UI / UX): Work with stakeholders to produce design(low-high fidelity) of customer journeys Produce individual web page designs Optimize existing online customer experience Work with country marketing managers and acquisition/retention managers to understand and refine design requirements Produce graphic designs and plans for implementation by development teams Work with graphic designers to implement design concepts Work with new product developments Skills and Experience for a Web Designer (UI / UX): Focus on knowledge, experience and qualifications. This must reflect the job requirements Experience of online UX and UI design. Commercial public-facing ecommerce experience. Strong design portfolio with clear participation record in projects, skills, techniques and tools used. Understanding of online industry best practice. Educated to degree level or equivalent with a relevant subject. Experience / Knowlegde of web development (Html-Html5, Css2-3) Experience of working with online development teams Experience of wire framing (Balsamic, Axure, Omnigraph and similar tools) Experience of using relevant javascript frameworks e.g. Jquery. Ability to translate briefs design ideas into low-high fidelity prototypes on paper and digitally. Ability to understand requirements from project stakeholders Experience of working and designing for Content Management Systems Good understanding of web standards e.g. WAI, W3C Good understanding of the concepts of user centred design, usability, information architecture Understanding of the standard techniques and practices in ecommerce (e.g. SEO, Affiliate Marketing, display marketing, Email Marketing, Social Marketing, PPC) Understanding of accessibility and other online regulatory issues Great Uses of Adobe Suite such as Photoshop, Dreamwaver, Illustrator.
