The team supports the delivery of many important and cutting edge IT programmes for their 25,000 staff across the globe. Their aim is to help deliver the services that underpin the overarching objectives of the agency and they therefore require additional people to uplift their capability in order to improve their delivery. As such they are now seeking Procurement and Contracts Officer to join their Commercial and Procurement Unit who are responsible for the procurement of national IT solutions, as well as the commercial managed contract management of existing contracts for key system and for providing direct strategic procurement advice and guidance to the organisation and its agencies. In this role you will be responsible for supporting Procurement & Contract Manager in the awarding of national ICT contracts and frameworks following the successful completion of compliant tenders and the use of appropriate e-procurement technology; the development of appropriate commercial best practice, guidance and policy documents for use within organisation and its agencies; Communication and promotion of the benefits of adopting best practice in all areas of procurement and the supply chain; Analysis of financial and expenditure data for the purpose of monitoring supplier and contract performance and the identification of opportunities for greater value for money; taking a lead in contract management and supplier relationship management activities; Reviewing performance of suppliers against contract provision/project deliverables, challenging poor performance or delay where applicable. As the ideal candidate you will be CIPS Qualified or actively working towards qualification, have knowledge of EU procurement, Change Management and Project & Programme Management Experience as well as knowledge of eProcurement tools This post is open to UK Nationals, British Nationals (Overseas), British Protected Persons, Commonwealth Citizens, EEA Nationals of other member states and certain non EEA family members and Swiss nationals under the Swiss EU agreement.
