Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Software Support Engineer Dinu Andreea posted a job: Software Support Engineer "We are currently looking for a smart and communicative Software Support Engineer, motivated by the opportunity to solve challenging 3rd level support tasks involving delivery of software corrections, development, programming, maintenance and internal technical documentation If you're passionate about your work, able to interact effectively and professionally with international teams, then your place is with our Client’s team. You will be responsible for identifying and correcting the code errors and for implementation of software components for the product range, as determined by the Architecture team. For this position you will need to be familiar with the review and interpretation of software design concepts in order to trace, debug and develop software implementations. Responsibilities •Undertake the delivery of software corrections, development, programming, maintenance and internal technical documentation according to the engineering management requirements, development practices and industry best practices. •Development and maintenance of specifications and user documentation in accordance with the relevant methodologies •Problem analysis, reproducing and resolution •Update and development of design documents •Performance of quality control/Verification and Validation (V&V) •Recommendations for continuous improvement to the relevant methodologies. •Development activities, based on staff rotation plan. Requirements: •Solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures,algorithms,and software design •Programming languages: Java, C/C++ •OOD, OOP – UML •Familiarity with SOA, preferable with Oracle products •Comfortable with UNIX/LINUX operating systems, UNIX shell scripting •Familar with awk, sed, perl •Ansi SQL – familiarity with database •Familiar with Oracle and/or Informix database servers is a plus •Knowledge of Solaris internal structures is a plus •Experience with post-deployment activity (support, maintenance) is a plus •Familiarity with development of java j2ee applications is a plus – JDBC, JPA, JPQL, EJB 3.0, servlets, web services (XML SOAP, WSDL) - JBoss, Oracle Application Server •Experience with systematic software development methodologies (according to an internal development life cycle) is a plus •Have some exposure to specific commercial applications would be a plus •Awareness of fixed line and/or mobile telecom knowledge would be a plus •Ability to achieve agreed deliverable, monitor and report progress •Fluent in English (written and spoken)"
