Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Head of Testing (Asset Management) Colette Comerford posted a job: Head of Testing (Asset Management) "M&G Investments is Prudential plc's UK based fund management business and is one of Europe's leading active asset managers with more than £228 billion* of funds under management across fixed income, equity, property and multi-asset strategies. -*as at 30 December 2012 Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Release Management, M&G are looking to recruit a Head of Testing as part of the Release Management function. This is a strategic hire ensuring that ownership, management and drive across a complex project/product landscape is delivered affecting all areas of the M&G business. The role includes non-business facing projects covering technical and infrastructure related change. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong experience, currently, or recently, working as a Head of Testing/QA or Senior Test Manager with a team size of 10+ Test Managers. The role also requires a good knowledge of fixed income, equities, cash and stock lending products. Essential to the role is the ability to define, own and implement strategic change coupled with best practice. The successful candidate will be conversant with SDLC methodologies, testing tools and techniques. Vital to the role is strong stakeholder management and communication skills, from an asset management/finance background. Key responsibilities * Overall ownership of all testing deliverables. * Management of 10+ Test Managers. * Ensuring M&G standards are adhered to. * Ensuring key process deliverables are met to fulfil audit requirements. * Testing resources - provision of an open pipeline to satisfy roadmap requirements. * Mitigation of risk to M&G business through the provision of testing services. * Strategic development of M&G testing standards and practices. * Growth of testing tools and techniques to enhance testing capability. * Analysis and implementation of remedial solutions to improve the quality of testing. * Development of M&G Test Managers. * Stakeholder management and liaison with IS Management Team, Project Managers & Service Managers to agree testing services. * Provision of project/product change estimates. * Drive, commitment, leadership and vision to evolve M&G testing capability. What we are looking for Essential * Previous experience in a Head of Testing/QA or Senior Test Management role. * Strong experience in asset management/finance sector. * Strong knowledge of testing techniques - eg. Waterfall, Agile, V-model. * Strong knowledge of different tools & techniques covering test management and automation. * Strong knowledge of SDLC. * Strong knowledge of test best principles and practices. * Strong vendor management. * ISEB/ISTQB qualified. * Excellent stakeholder/communication skills. * Strong team player.
