Group: IT Recruiters Subject: Job Opportunity; Senior Software Developer (Tokyo - Japan) Jan Shelepin posted a job: Job Opportunity; Senior Software Developer (Tokyo - Japan) "Salary: 6 million yen ~ 10 million yen Position Summary: Our client is looking for passionate, energetic, and creative engineers to design and develop innovative multimedia software products for the connected home, mobile, and the cloud. In this role, you will work with the latest devices, operating systems, and technologies while solving interesting challenges in media delivery and management. As part of the team in Japan, you will interact with customers to help them utilize the client's software in their products. In addition to designing and creating new code from requirements, you must be able to quickly familiarize yourself with existing code and debug or extend it. You will work as part of a global team using an agile development process. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements: - BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field - At least 4 years of experience developing and maintaining embedded software solution, in a test-driven software development environment. - Multimedia and/or network communication protocol knowledge. - Software architecture design experience. - Familiarity with Android and iOS development tools. - Advanced knowledge in C, C++, Java, ObjectiveC, and/or JavaScript. - Working knowledge of software configuration management tools (Accurev, GIT/Stash, etc.) - Excellent coding and documentation practices - Good verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Preferred Qualifications - experience in the following areas: - uPnP, DLNA, DTCP-IP, PlayReady DRM, and HTTP protocol a plus. - Experience using an agile development methodology. - Test automation knowledge. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OTHER: For further information about this and similar job opportunities please contact Jan at Vision Consulting Services K.K. jan@visionconsulting.jp | 03-5765-2626"
