Group: IT Recruiters Subject: nXt-IT is looking for a Microsoft BI Consultant start : 15/7/2013 duration : Long term location : Luxenburg ref nr 1832 Sarah De Laet posted a job: nXt-IT is looking for a Microsoft BI Consultant start : 15/7/2013 duration : Long term location : Luxenburg ref nr 1832 "WORK LOCATION : GH LUXEMBOURG Start : ASAP Period : Long term Description To reinforce our Problem Management team, we are searching for immediate start a BI consultant with experience on platform operations and ideally application performance monitoring skills Overall responsibility - Follow up and participate to Problem / High Incident resolution (sharepoint, financial reporting, datawarehouse, business intelligence, etc.) - Supervise Application performance monitoring implementation project and operations (training will be provided on the specific solution: Compuware DCRUM) Key areas of responsibility (in coordination with the Problem Manager) - Empower the existing strong Monitoring, Bi skills and experience of the problem management team with strong problem solving aptitudes in Application management - Daily check on the monitoring scenarios reports and investigation/escalation in case of abnormal measurements. - Supervise the roll out of a new SCOM2012 platform for web monitoring scenario together with infrastructure teams. Remote maintenance of distant probes executing web scenarios. Creation of new SCOM web scenarios. - Takes ownership of major incident root cause analysis occurring with business applications - Lead complex incident resolutions that requires coordination with mixed teams (.Net Competence center (CC), BI CC, Sharepoint CC, DBA CC, Infra CC, Network CC) - Identifies and assign priorities to problems (ITIL) - Reviews priority 1 incidents and recurring incidents to detect problems - Manage problems according to internal problem management procedures and tools (ITSM) - Propose evolutions/improvements in the process / tools where needed • Coordinates and facilitates problem resolution by engaging a variety of support teams • Analyze the problem • Identify the root cause (RCA) • Find solutions and/or workarounds - Reviews solution options and/or workarounds - Assign and follows implementation tasks - Approves results of corrective actions - Document the whole process in the problem management application - Communicates progress of problems to relevant parties - Organize biweekly problem management meetings - Applies Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework knowledge - Escalates issues for resolution, to avoid reoccurrence or close problem. Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex systems - Problem-solving skills with an emphasis on resolution of complex technical problems - Minimum 3 years of experience in large company, even if not related to problem management (experience in BI development, database and/or application administration, system operations, application monitoring or testing are a plus) - Working experience or general knowledge of the ITIL framework is highly desirable. - Extensive experience in working with application/infrastructure/network teams in complex enterprise environment - Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment and ability to self-organize his daily activities following team priorities - Strong interpersonal skills, including strong verbal, written communication skills and excellent listening skills are required - Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite Mission - Based in Luxembourg, no travel needed (flexibility to travel occasionally if required is requested) - Indefinite duration Meer info? jobs@nxt-it.biz ref nr 1832"
