"Test Manager (BSS) - UK Manning Global is currently looking for an experienced Test Manager for one of our clients, a leading International Telecommunications Company, for a Contract position based in the UK Job description: The Test Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project testing from definition of the testing strategy through to User Acceptance (UAT) and Operational Acceptance (OAT) across IT and integration with core network parts of the solution. Responsibilities: " Define the testing strategy for a major BSS project and ensure that testing is completed in line with this strategy to ensure successful UAT and OAT and in line with the customer's standard testing strategy. " He/she will be responsible for execution of this strategy on time, which will include end to end testing where our client plays the role of the system integrator for the program. This will mean having overall responsibility for acceptance testing from 3rd parties and interoperability testing with 3rd parties and the core network. " He/she will be responsible for implementing and running test reporting across our clients, 3rd parties and the customer. " Responsible together with the customer and 3rd parties for the definition of the test environment(s) and co-ordination of the implementation of these. " He/she will be responsible for leading a number of large testing teams distributed geographically. " Note that this position will require extensive time working at the customer site. Essential knowledge/skills: " Lead a team of testers of various levels of experience and ability, and geographically distributed. " Exceptional problem solving skills " Understand the commercial environment whilst focusing on technical issues. " Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries, and operate successfully in an intense business environment. " Ability to work with customers, internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors. " Perform job functions to standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations. " Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations. " Provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports. " Ability to work independently. " Fluent communication in English. Essential experience: " Experience of setting up a testing 'factory' from ground zero. " Proven successful experience of end-to-end senior test management within major BSS integration projects. " Experience of all types of IT testing, e.g. functional testing, performance testing, integration testing, UAT, OAT, etc. " Experience of core networks testing is highly desirable. Essential qualification(s): " Diploma, degree or above in a relevant technical discipline.
