Job Description: Department Overview: The Consumer Marketing Technology team is responsible for providing Client business units with systems that support direct marketing functions including email, mobile, and social media marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM) including the acquisition and retention of customers/fans. Job Description: The Web Developer is responsible for the design and development of web applications, components, and interfaces. The position requires both front-end (GUI) and back-end development experience. 3-5 years of prior web development experience is required. This role would suit an intermediate level web developer who is looking to further their career gaining experience on global IT projects in a fast moving and challenging environment. Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities for this role include: Design, code, test, and implement websites and applications, for either internal or external uses. Develop and support websites using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Umbraco, Drupal, and Wordpress. Develop and support web applications that integrate with internal systems and third party marketing platforms including Exact Target, Janrain, and Livefyre. Develop and support promotional web pages that integrate with social media including Facebook and Twitter. Create and execute ad hoc SQL queries and data extracts. Troubleshoot and resolve issues surrounding performance, response times, capacity and system limitations. Create and modify technical documentation. Maintain and update web applications and ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across organization. Collaborate with internal business clients, internal technology resources, and external vendors. Provide technical reviews and assessments of third party solutions. Continually expand understanding of technology solutions in order to provide current, relevant advice to the business. Essential Skills: Ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment. Self-motivation and ability to use initiative. Ability to multitask and prioritize own workload. Attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and prototypes. Ability to deliver quickly and respond to emerging requirements in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Ability to rapidly deliver high quality applications using agile methods such as Scrum. Strong working knowledge of database design and Service-Oriented Architecture. Ability to collaborate directly with co-located development team and business clients. Ability to collaborate remotely with staff and business partners located around the globe.
