Role : IP Test Engineer Location : Alpharetta, GA Duration : Long Term Contract. Job Description : The Senior Design Engineer in the Network Engineering and Architecture group responsibilities include the planning, design, testing, and communication of network solutions supporting voice, video, data and wireless products. This position will focus on the integration and transition of the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) into a converged IP services framework. DESCRIPTION: • Conducts extensive lab evaluations and integration testing of network elements and document results • Formulates integrated voice, data, and/or video network architectures based upon demand, capacity, emerging network services, trends, and technologies • Plans future network enhancements and directions for access, metro, and core networks. • Provides detailed engineering support and consultation to field systems, design engineers, and implementation teams. • Serves as primary subject matter expert in the areas of IPv6 routing, operations, and coexistence strategies with IPv4 • Develops network element technical requirements and specifications. • Knowledge in any of the following technologies is a plus: Packet cable, IMS, and SIP, and 3GPP • Knowledge of Home Networking including UPnP • Some travel may be required If you are available and interested in this positions.
