It is a Long Term Contract Role : Electrical DC System Designer Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : Long Term Contract Job Description : DC System Designer: This position is responsible for performing electrical design on medium and small retrofit projects at fossil fired and hydro generating plants for Southern Company Generation. This position routinely takes on multiple retrofit projects. Travel to the plants is required. • Experience in Power Plant, Paper Mill, Steel Mill, or similar industry • Detailed knowledge of 125VDC System design principles (preferably Large Battery systems design) • Design experience in battery sizing, DC cable sizing, Inverter and Charger sizing • Design experience with fuse panel layout and wiring including buss, shunts and transducers • Able to effectively plan, organize, and execute their work. • The individual should be able to handle design with minimal to no supervision • Experience using AutoCAD and CAD Overlay SCGeneration E&CS – Electrical If you are available and interested in this positions.
