"Provides material support to the Contract Management Office to ensure that government furnished materials are available to the construction contractor as indicated in the contract release and work schedule. Position Requirements: •MS Office Suite 2010 experience required •A Valid Driver’s License is required •Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience is highly desirable. •Familiarity with procurement and/or materials ordering systems is desirable •Experience with Hyperion reporting tool is desirable •Experience with enterprise business systems is desirable (Asset Suite and Peoplesoft Financials) •Personal Protective Equipment will be required for any field material yard site visits. Additional Skills Desired: •Supply chain and/or logistics experience commensurate to the level of expertise needed for the position. •Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Position Responsibilities include but not limited to: •Ensure that our Client's furnished materials are issued to contract construction in a timely manner. •For assigned projects, extracts Hyperion reports and performs analysis of material charges against project work orders verifying accuracy and resolves discrepancies. Extracts and modifies Work Order Material Status Reports from Hyperion, creating inventory spreadsheets for use during contract physical inventory. •Furnishes contractor with detailed lists of project materials and quantities required; provides overview of technical specifications regarding material procedures and submits written notification of materials that will not be available at NTP (Construction Notice to Proceed). Informs project team of material issues •Assists in expediting materials, tracks down missing or incomplete shipments of materials and locates spare parts and materials as needed, often under emergency situations. Resolves availability issues. •Ensure all materials are ordered and drafts Material Request as needed. Updates need dates on Material Requests. •Review Bills of Materials, availability of Government Furnished Materials (GFM) and MR Order Status Report for long lead items •Identify GFM that will not be available and notifies project team. •For assigned projects, informs the Ross Warehouse to release project Material Requests as well as communicates whether material is to be shipped or staged and coordinates release to contractor. •Maintains tracking of all material utilized during the project and calculates cost of materials wasted, lost or damaged by Construction Contractor. Recommends if our Client should charge contractor for additional materials. •Attends meetings, provide material status report to PM and contractor. •Provides lessons learned info •Manages return process. For assigned projects, communicates with Investment Recovery (IRC) for the return of project materials for future utilization or disposal. Provides copies of Material Return Receipts to IRC detailing work orders and Material Requests •Works closely with Receiving, Shipping, and Contract Specialists to ensure that contractor material inventories are accurately filled, loaded and transported to the appropriate location in time to keep the project on schedule. •Assists Lead Acquisition Analysts as needed in the above areas and in other assigned tasks related to the delivery of government furnished materials to contract construction. Additional Responsibilities: •May assist the Lead Acquisition Analyst in the preparation of Annual Use Tax Reports for Government Furnished •Occasional travel may be required to various field material yard sites Competitive Hourly Rate + Full Benefit Package No Relo Assistance"
