Job Title: Storage and Backup Consultant Duration: Full Time/Permanent Location: Cary, NC / Dallas, TX (Can apply for only one location) Salary: $Negotiable/Annum + Benefits Visa Status: US Citizens/GC Holders Send resume to soloman@vdartinc.com Storage: • Minimum 10 years’ experience in doing design, construct and build for Enterprise Storage solutions • Working knowledge of Enterprise-class Storage Hardware from EMC, HDS (Hitachi Data Systems), HP or NETAPPs • Skills in more than one technology domain a must • Working knowledge of Enterprise-class Fiber Switch/Director Hardware from Cisco, Brocade, or McData required • Hands-on Experience with Multipathing soft wares - Veritas, Powerpath, LVM (logical volume manager) • Good Exposure on Monitoring and Replication Strategies [ECC, HP-SE (Storage Essentials), Sanscreen, SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility), True Copy, SnapMirror etc] • Strong Storage concepts on LUN (logical unit number) mapping/creation, Auto Tiering, Data Migrations, Virtualization • Knowledge on Enterprise backup tools like Veritas Netbackup Administration , EMC Networker Or Tivoli Storage Manager Administration • UNIX and/or Windows systems administration experience • File System and Database Familiarity • Should be familiar with ITIL processes Backup: • Minimum 10 Years’ Experience in doing design, construct and build of Enterprise Backup solutions • Working knowledge on one or more of Enterprise solutions like Symantec Netbackup, EMC Networker, IBM TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) or HP DP (Data Protector) • Experience on WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration • Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data encryption and security • Experience on backing up Databases, Virtual environments, NAS (Network-attached storage) using agents and scripts (Integration with Snapshot technologies) • Experience on Fine-Tuning Backup environments by reworking Policy’s, system parameters, introducing better backup methodologies eg.
