We are adding to our team and are seeking a seasoned Chief Electronics Design Engineer. The successful candidate will apply his/her expertise in the following areas: . • Responsible for the design and development of hardware components and firmware for new products, enhancements and hardware quality issue resolution. Responsible for and must ensure that project schedules are met, and the output satisfies the acceptable quality levels as defined. • Prepare system level and detailed hardware specifications. • Design and implementation of new inverter design. • Analyze and design analog and digital circuits. • Develop and implement test plans and test results. • Prepare and maintain product documentation, instruction manuals, project notebooks and design and test documentation. • Lead design reviews; analyze concepts and cost effectiveness of the hardware designs. • Review the software architecture and implementation • Coordinate engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing, and assist purchasing on supplier selection and component evaluation. • Assist in the development of training materials for new products with Sales and Marketing for use by sales representatives and field service. • Assist sales and customers with technical information. • Protect intellectual property guidelines. • Ensure that development documentation protocols and procedures are followed in accordance with established QA processes. • Prepare and maintain product cost estimates and project plans. Requirements • Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 7 years related experience or 12 years related product experience. • Design experience with microchip microprocessors is desirable. • Expertise in electronic hardware design. • Expertise and experience in UPS and/or power supply design. • Strong background in Analog system design and experience with Analog Circuit PCB design techniques. • Strong background in Power Electronics circuit design. • UL test standards knowledge • Strong background and experience in Real Time Embedded System • Excellent oral, written and documentation skills. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Technical leadership ability. • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. • Experience in the hardware design of power system protection, control and automation products is desirable • Digital and mixed circuit design experience desirable • Experience with UL and NEC standards for Electrical/Electronic products used in electrical power systems • Willing to relocate to Lehigh Valley, PA area.
