ENGINEER ANALYSIS- CAB ENGINEERING-LOCATION WINSTON SALEM AREA Our clients Cab engineering group is looking for an analyst who can use simulation tools to perform at least, but not limited to Strength, Fatigue, Durability and Crash analysis of Truck components and systems. This position offers a very good opportunity for someone who has high technical skills and can provide alternate design solutions to engineers on the parts and systems analyzed. Also, has the opportunity to work with global counterparts. Skills: Core Responsibilities Works closely with internal departments and external suppliers to design and integrate components for heavy truck applications. Focus is on providing engineering solutions to systems through Simulation. Understanding of vehicle compliance with all vehicle regulations (FMVSS, FMCSR, EPA, CARB, ECE etc.) relating to Cab. Ability to perform calculations manually and with simulation tools for Strength, durability and crash on Truck parts and Systems. Good understanding of CAD systems and ability to integrate them with the simulation tools. Must be able to communicate with engineers in order to provide Engineering solutions, write final reports and make presentations to the teams on progress. Emphasis is placed on the level of expertise, knowledge, originality, data analysis, problem solving, ability and interaction within departments and external organizations. Requires proficiency in detailed engineering and Analysis. A good understanding of design limitations of various manufacturing processes to help provide alternate design solutions. Familiar with CAD systems such as Catia and Pro-E. Must have experience in using Analysis Tools such as Hyperworks, Nastran, Ansys, Radioss. Experience to run CFD simulation tools such as Star CCM Powerflow is a plus. Be able to provide training and find/suggest alternatives for existing systems and processes for improving the efficiency of the team. Be able to work with Global expertise within Cab analysis, participate in the meetings and provide inputs and complete action items. Must have a drive for improvement and be open minded change. Be able to work independently on projects and components related to cab and the surrounding components. English language skills is a must.
