"COMPANY PROFILE: Our client is a manufacturer of high-performance solar cells based in People's Republic of China. The Company produces and sells both mono-crystalline and multi-crystalline solar cells. The Company conducts its business primarily through its wholly owned subsidiaries in People's Republic of China. It designs, manufactures and markets high-performance solar cells, which are made from specially processed silicon wafers. In June 2009, for purposes of its three megawatt photovoltaic project in Korea. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Development of strategic and operational business plans for Europe. - Development of investment plans. - Development of marketing plans for Europe, support to sales. - Management of the following support functions: Recruitment, Finance, Legal, Purchase and so on. - Profit and Loss. - Management of all personnel in European Regional Centre. - Determining management plans for key Sales Managers. - Assurance of highest Quality levels. - Management of Customer Satisfaction. - Delivery of approved strategic and operational plans. - Liaison with local authorities. - Others. MUST HAVES - 5-10 years in solar industry or a senior management position in solar company. - Experience in marketing, especially in segment, targeting, positioning, and selling. - BA / BS or equivalent in business / marketing with advanced degree (MBA, MS, MA) is desirable. - Fluent in both English and German. - Fluent in Chinese is better. OTHER SOFT CONDITIONS - P&L responsibility in larger business environment. - Experience selling to "C Level" executives. - Knowledge of software (MS Office), basic international trade, contracting standards and precedents, business procedures, knowledge management, creative practices and unique operational characteristics necessary. - Experience in delivery of high-level presentations and announcements to audiences composed of executives and other highly critical and insightful persons. - Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to operate in situations where leadership, creative problem solving and opportunity development is required, and where resource allocation decisions are critical to success. - Strategic thinker with exceptional business analysis skills. - Willing to travel 30-50% of the time.
