Interested candidates can send me their updated resume at dkali@itconvergence.com or call me at (415) 675-7935 Ext.3259 "Expected Responsibilities: • Translate client user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan • Design and develop the architecture for all data warehousing components (tool integration strategy; source system data ETL strategy, data staging, movement and aggregation; information and analytics delivery; and quality strategy) • Contribute to the design of the data warehouse data storage strategy/technique • Produce hardware sizing and configuration recommendations • Oversee creation of data architecture including source systems analysis, data profiling and data modeling • Design and implement data integration processes, including data quality and testing • Contribute to the definition of security requirements for the data warehouse • Design and implement the metadata strategy including business data dictionary • Define release management, production and operational support requirements • Create and document logical data integration (ETL) strategies for data flows between disparate systems and the data warehouse/data marts • Contribute to the design of system maintenance activities such as archiving, storage utilization, and backups • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager, IT to assist in the deployment of solutions within the company • Develop and improve BI practices within the City and County of Denver. • Document and publish artifacts to aid in architecture development and maintenance (e.g. WIKI). • Document architecture, design approach, standards, design patterns, and procedures as needed. • Maintain development, quality assurance, and production BI environments. • Provide support of integration environments by handling HEAT tickets and working with customers. • Respond to HEAT tickets for deployed system within the specified Service Level Agreement. Must have skills: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or computer related field from an accredited institution • 5 years experience in architecting large scale data warehouses using Oracle • Well versed in data modeling particularly with conceptual, logical and physical model design • Previous experience with Oracle RDBMS particularly with latest versions • Previous experience with ETL tools such as Oracle Warehouse Builder, Business Objects Data Integrator or Informatica • Experience working with a Oracle Business Intelligence environment is preferred • Experience with data modeling tools • Strong experience with business intelligence and data warehousing design principles and industry best practices • Deep understanding of relational database design concepts and SQL programming • Strong technical understanding of data modeling, design and architecture principles and techniques across master data, transaction data and star schema architecture • Strong technical expertise in data storage/management technologies for both OLTP and DW solutions • Strong troubleshooting skills within and outside database environment • Strong analysis and design skills • Knowledge of database and dimensional modeling design and principles • Experience with database application development desirable • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts • Willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast paced environment • Self-motivated with ability to complete work on time • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure • Adaptability to change and ability to embrace the continuous changes in IT"
