Job Description: • Play a support role for various products • Ability to look into multiple systems and create network reports • Understanding of IP addressing and DNS • Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts • Strong understanding of routing and switching • Must understand BGP and OSPF routing • Must have the ability to understand and analyze routing tables • Experience with troubleshooting network problems with 3rd party vendors and customers • Understanding of network troubleshooting procedures • Experience in interacting with non-technical people to understand problems and explain solutions • Hands on experience with Juniper and Cisco routers and switches is a must • Experience with testing and creating test plans is a must • Hands on experience with testing equipment such as Spirent or IXIA is required • Understanding of IPv6 and experience with IPv6 implementation • Good understanding of application protocols – HTTP, SSL, RTMP, RTSP, DNS • Some scripting knowledge is needed – Perl, shell • Team player and ability to grasp high level instructions • Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts • Strong understanding of routing and switching • Must understand BGP and OSPF routing • Must have the ability to understand and analyze routing tables Skills Required: • Juniper JunOS on MX/M/T series Expert Required • Cisco IOS Intermediate Required • BGP Expert Required • ACL or firewall rules Intermediate Required • Spirent/IXIA Expert Required • OSPF Entry Level Desired • Perl/shell Scripting Entry Level Desired • IPv6 Intermediate Desired • Documentation - Deployment Guide/Test plans Expert Desired • TCP/IP Intermediate Desired"
